Safety measures taken at a dangerous intersection in Clarence have failed to eliminate accidents. The corner of County and Strickler Roads has seen a history of serious, even deadly, car accidents. A county safety study resulted in the re-grading of the roadway and the installation of a flashing signal. Just hours after the signal was turned on, another accident occurred at the intersection on Friday.
Authorities are now considering reducing the speed limit on that stretch of road and making the signal a four-way stop.
