Tow truck operator indicted in bribery case

The owner of a Buffalo tow truck company faces several charges for allegedly bribing police officers to steer accident scene work to his firm. According to The Buffalo News, Jim Mazzariello, owner of Jim Mazz Auto on Bailey Avenue, and two of his associates have been indicted on felony charges of bribery and filing false tax returns.

No police officers have been charged.

The investigation was conducted the FBI, Buffalo Police Internal Affairs, and a variety of state and federal agencies.
