Roosevelt Inaugural site hosts national conference

Buffalo is hosting the 94th annual meeting of the Theodore Roosevelt Association. The national conference opens Thursday and runs through Sunday, with the Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural Site along Delaware Avenue serving as the backdrop.

Keynote speakers include Pulitzer Prize winning author Doris Kearns Goodwin and syndicated columnist EJ Dionne, who will focus on the theme "relevant reflections." Speakers will explore issues which are as topical today as they were at the beginning of Roosevelt's presidency, nearly 112 years ago.

"We're very honored to have been chosen by the Theodore Roosevelt Association to host their 94th annual meeting," said Molly Quackenbush, Executive Director of the Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural Site.

"As the place where TR's presidency began, Buffalo is an ideal setting for the Association's annual meeting," said Tweed Roosevelt, Theodore Roosevelt's great grandson and president of the association.
