Hot, humid weather continues will prevail once again across the region Friday. The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for Niagara Orleans and Genesee Counties until 8 p.m. The heat index will make it feel as hot as 104. The hot temperatures and high humidity will combine to create difficult conditions and lead to heat illness. You are reminded to keep hydrated and drink plenty of water. Stay out of the sun to avoid heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

A high wind advisory has also been issued for Erie, Niagara,  Chautauqua,  Genesee and Orleans Counties  until 8 p.m. Friday.

Winds of 20 to 30 miles an hour will occur with gusts of 50-miles an hour are possible.  Forecasters say those winds could possible cause some downed tree limbs and power lines.
