A reported change to New York's casino expansion bill could lead to more gambling sites even if voters reject the effort. The Associated Press is reporting that a provision added to the bill would allow for expanded video slot machine locations even if voters reject the building of new Las Vegas-style casinos. The additional slot locations would be in the outer boroughs near New York City and a few upstate locations.
Governor Cuomo claims the new provision protects additional revenues for regional governments and for schools no matter the outcome of the vote on new casinos.
