NYS Associated Press Broadcasters honor WBFO with six first place awards

WBFO News received six first place awards Saturday night from the New York State Associated Press Broadcasters Association. Assistant News Director Eileen Buckley received two. The Art Athens for General Excellence in Reporting and for Best Use of the Medium

Morning Edition Host Jay Moran won forBest Feature and

Station Manager Jim Ranney was honored for Best Interview

Producer/Host Mark Scott received first place for Best Sports Coverage.  

WBFO's news team was also honored for Best Website.

Reporter Mike Desmond, former reporter Dan Robison and contributor Rich Kellman received special mentions as did the entire news team for spots news and continuing coverage. 

Ranney attended the annual AP banquet in Saratoga Springs to accept the awards.  Former Governor David Paterson was the banquet's guest speaker.
