FBI seeks additional victims of alleged child abuser

FBI

A Western New York trucker is accused of taking children on trips across the state with the intent to engage in sexual activity with them.

David Allen Vickers, 49, of Stanley in Ontario County has been charged by criminal complaint with transportation of a minor with intent to engage in sexual activity.

It's alleged that between 2000 to 2004, Vickers took a minor victim on trips to New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Canada and engaged in sexual activity.

During an initial court appearance Vickers plead not guilty to the charges. Supervisory Special Agent with the FBI Jason Jarnagin said if convicted he faces a minimum penalty of 10 years in prison, a maximum life sentence, and a fine of $250,000.

“So we’re asking for the public’s assistance in identifying additional victims. There are other people out there we believe who have been victimized by Vickers and if they know of anyone, any children who may have been victimized we ask that they come forward and contact the FBI office here in Buffalo,” said Jarnagin.

The FBI is asking for people with information to call their office at 716-856-7800.

This investigation is being conducted by the FBI in conjunction with local, state and county law enforcement agencies.
