An effort to ensure that local drivers are using their seat belts will soon get underway. The Niagara County Sheriff's Office will be partnering with the New York State Police in support of the 2013 "National Click it Or Ticket" campaign, which gets underway on Monday.  According to Sheriff Timothy Howard, "As we kick-off the busy summer driving season, it's important that everyone buckles up every time they go out, both day and night - no excuses. Our deputies are prepared to ticket those not wearing their set belt - Click It or Ticket."

Law enforcement agents will be checking to be sure that drivers and passengers are securely belted into their seats. The campaign will also be checking to see that children of all ages are safely restrained and that baby seats are being properly secured.
