Local veterans can now access a host of services in one location. A ribbon cutting was held Monday for the Veterans One-Stop Center of Western New York. The new center is located on Main near Bryant Street in Buffalo

Board Chairman Thomas Lynch says the center is a collaboration offering veterans and their families a range of services in the comfort of a home-based environment.

"The center operates on the principle that services are best provided by existing, independent service providers working together in a coordinated way to provide a seamless program that assists veterans and their families in dealing with the various challenges they encounter. Most importantly, the center is an independent agency run by veterans, for veterans, because our veterans deserve our support," said Lynch.

"The Veterans One-Stop Center of Western New York brings people, organizations, and resources together in time, space, and effort to effectively improve the well-being of all Western New York veterans of the Armed Forces and their families. That's our mission," said President and CEO Roger Woodworth.

Funding to help make the One-Stop Center a reality was provided by several local companies and foundations.
