Police searching for possible North Buffalo child predator

Buffalo Police

Buffalo Police are looking for a person of interest who reportedly tried to lure a child into his truck in North Buffalo last week. The incident happened around 6 p.m. Wednesday in the Delaware/Middlesex/Meadow neighborhood.  Police say the individual, believed to be a white male in his 30s with dark hair, was driving a cobalt or royal blue Ford pickup truck.

A police spokesman says the man approached a young boy in a suspicious manner. He allegedly pulled into a driveway and attempted to lure the boy toward his truck. The boy ran into his home.

Witnesses say the same vehicle was also seen in the area near Elmwood Franklin School Friday afternoon.

Anyone with information is asked to call or text the city's confidential tipline at (716) 847-2255.
