Buffalo teacher who died in Costa Rica laid to rest

Funeral services were held this morning for a Buffalo teacher who died last week while on a cultural exchange program in Costa Rica with her students. Sarah Acton, a teacher at Tapestry Charter School, lost consciousness on a rafting excursion. Efforts to revive her were unsuccessful. Her cause of death is undetermined.

Acton, who was 31, leaves behind a husband, James, and several family members. This morning's services were held at Zion United Church of Christ in Tonawanda.
