The funeral services for a Jamestown native killed in a military training accident last week have been scheduled for April first. Lance Cpl. Mason Vanderwork was killed along with six fellow Marines when a mortar exploded during a training exercise. The accident occurred at a Nevada facility. Vanderwork was a Jamestown who had recently been living in Hickory, North Carolina. He had been a Marine for 4 years.
He was married last June and served his country in Afghanistan.
