Jamestown Police are continuing to investigate an accident that took the life of a 5-year-old girl on Friday evening. Isabella Stanford was killed when the sled that she was riding slid into traffic on Foote Avenue in Jamestown and was struck by a car. Police report that three other children were sledding at the same site with Stanford. All of the children are related and none were older than seven. Investigators are attempting to determine if there was adequate adult supervision for the children.

None of the other children were injured, and no charges are expected to be filed against the driver.

A memorial ceremony for Stanford is being planned for this week at the school she attended, M.J. Fletcher Elementary in Jamestown.
