Jamestown Police are investigating the death of a 5-year-old girl after a sledding accident Friday evening. Reports indicate that the girl was sledding on a hillside along Foote Avenue when her sled traveled into the street. She was struck by a passing motorist. The child was transported to WCA hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. The name of the victim has not been released.
The driver of the vehicle is not expected to be charged in the case.
