Economical development grants could soon be available to Western New York businesses after a move by Governor Cuomo. Cuomo has named three members to the New York Power Proceeds Allocation Board. The Board will distribute long-delayed proceeds earned by the New York Power Authority through its low-cost hydropower program. The Board was created last spring, but its administrators are just now being appointed. The grants are targeted for creating jobs with businesses within a 30-mile radius of the Niagara Power Project.
Anthony Colucci will act as chairman. Deanna Brennan and Brenda McDuffie were also named by the Governor.
