The Small Business Administration will hold a workshop in Buffalo Friday for the dozens of small businesses who are suffering from the impact of the NHL lockout. According to Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, the lack of hockey games at First Niagara Center cost the Buffalo economy nearly $2 million in November.

The SBA offers small, short-term loans, as well as technical assistance and other guidance.

All NHL games have been canceled through December 31.

Based on the lack of progress in recent collective bargaining talks, many observers believe the entire NHL season will be lost.
