Complaints about fights amongst downtown school students has brought a greater police presence.
Witnesses claim that afternoon fisticuffs at the Fountain Plaza metro station have become a common occurrence. Police beefed up their presence after a fight this week.
NFTA spokesman Douglas Hartmayer contends that the fight was a rarity, though workers in the area report having seen many conflicts.
