A pit bull that was seriously injured by its owner could remain the property of that owner.
The 2-year-old pup was dragged behind Daniel Delaney's truck when he forgot that he had leashed the dog to the bumper. Delaney remains in custody and is seeking a court injunction to retain possession of the dog.
The SPCA in Erie County is caring for the dog and is pursuing ownership in the case.
