Democratic Representatives Kathy Hochul and Louise Slaughter were given a campaign boost with a visit from President Clinton on Friday.
Clinton was in Rochester, speaking on behalf of the candidates at the Main Street Armory. The President's speech focused on the need for bipartisanship and how Democrats are willing to work across the aisle. He also supported the Democratic approach to the economy and to healthcare.
Clinton's visit was spearheaded by efforts made by former Erie County Democratic Chairman Leonard Lenihan.
