Movie starring Kevin Costner as Bills GM in the works

A film starring Kevin Costner as general manager of the Buffalo Bills one day may be coming to a theater near you.

The website Vulture.com is reporting the production team of a movie called Draft Day is seeking approval from the National Football League to allow the team's likeness to be used in the project.

The NFL is famously reluctant allow such projects to move forward, but reports indicate the league is on the verge of not only signing off, but also possibly chipping in as much as $20 million.

Draft Day would tell the story of Costner as a fictional Bills GM trying to acquire the league's number one draft pick over the course of a single day.  Hollywood veteran Ivan Reitman would produce and direct the film.

Any financial contribution from the league would likely come with strings attached, in the form of some control over its content.
