Western New York drivers are feeling the pinch of local gas prices which continue to surge well above the national trend.
The average price for a gallon of unleaded gasoline stands at $4.10, representing a rise a 2.4 cents in the last week. The national average increased by .8 of a cent.
The local price is 13 cents higher than a month ago and 44 cents higher than last year at this time.
According to Buffalo Gas Prices.com, some Californians are paying over $5 for a gallon of gas after seeing the average price jump 88 cents in the last year.
