Authorities have made an arrest in connection with the death of a female student at SUNY Brockport.
Clayton Whittemore, a 21-year-old native of the Utica, New York region, was taken into custody early Saturday at a Thruway rest area. The victim, who had been in a relationship with Whittemore, was found in her dorm room. She had been beaten to death.
Whittemore has pleaded not guilty to a second-degree murder charge.
