A Chautauqua County soldier has died, the victim of suicide bomb attack in Afghanistan.
28-year-old Army Sergeant Jonathan Gollnitz, a native of Fredonia, was killed earlier this week.
Gollnitz was the father of a four-year-old son. According to The Buffalo News, Gollnitz served five years in the Navy before joining the Army.
He was reportedly injured in action in July, but quickly returned to combat after recuperating at a military hospital in Germany.
