A financial scam that cost investors more than $5 million has netted an Orchard Park man a six year prison term.
Thirty-three year old James Rotterman has been convicted on wire fraud and tax charges after bilking investors to cover gambling debts and an expensive lifestyle. He has also been ordered to make $4.5 million in restitution.
Rotterman expressed remorse for his actions as the prosecution argued for a harsher penalty.
