A conviction in a West Side murder was quickly handed down by a jury.
Twenty-nine year old Bangaly Chelley will be sentenced on a second-degree murder charge and weapons possession in the shooting death of 82-year-old Ansumane Kanneh. Kanneh, struck while he was repairing his granddaughter's bicycle, was not the target of the shooting.
Kanneh moved his family to Buffalo to escape the violence in his homeland of Liberia.
