Genesee County Sheriff's deputies didn't have to go far to find an escaped prisoner.
After a 30-minute search they found John Cabrera hiding inside the building. The Sheriff's canine and state police assisted in the search.
Cabrera was treated at a Batavia hospital for minor scrapes before he was returned to his jail cell late Tuesday night. He is likely to face additional charges related to the incident.
Department officials are reviewing how the prisoner was able to leave his confined area.
