Rochester family loses loved one in Colorado shooting

A man with Western New York connections is one of the lives lost in the mass shooting in Aurora, Colorado.

Twenty-seven year old Alex Sullivan, whose parents are Rochester natives, was an employee at the theater, though he was at the Batman showing to celebrate his birthday. Sullivan leaves behind a wife. The two were expecting to celebrate their first wedding anniversary next week. Family and relatives still residing in Rochester are mourning the loss.

Sullivan was one of twelve people killed when suspected shooter James Holmes opened fire during a showing the "The Dark Knight Rises."
