Google Map

A portion of Route 270, Campbell Boulevard in the town of Amherst, will be closed to all traffic beginning Monday, June 25.

The New York State Department of Transportation has announced that culvert replacement work will begin on Route 27.   As a result, NY Route 270, between North French Road and Tonawanda Creek Road, will be closed to all traffic.

The closure is expected to last for approximately one week.  Traffic will be directed to follow a posted detour route. The work is weather sensitive and may be delayed in the event of inclement weather.

Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone.  In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver’s license.
