Beer spill on West Seneca roadway

Cases of canned beer spilled  onto the intersection of Union and Michael Roads in West Seneca just before noon Wednesday.

The truck driver was slowing down for an ambulance when the load shifted and flew through the bulkhead of the truck.

West Seneca Police Lt. David Szmania  responded to the scene as the Keystone Light beer cans were being cleared from the road.   He said the truck driver slowed as an ambulance was approaching, and that's when the load of beer shifted.

"The driver of the tractor trailer slowed up to yield to the ambulance and which point the load in the trailer shifted itself shifted and came through the front of the bulkhead resulting in the spill in the intersection," said Szmania.

No one was hurt and just plenty of good natured jokes from the responders, with some wondering "who brought the ice?"
