Water usage in the Village of Mayville is back to normal.
The Chautauqua County Department of Health and Human Services and the Village of Mayville have announced that the water conservation order issued last week Thursday, and the boil water advisory in effect since Tuesday, have been lifted for village residents.
Samples taken during the past two days indicate that the water is safe to drink and be used for other purposes.
The water restrictions came as the result of the installation of a permanent pump in a new well, replacing a temporary pump installed during a water emergency last December.
