Transit Drive-In offering vaccine Wednesday, Thursday

Transit Drive-In

The Niagara County Department of Health has announced it will be holding a COVID-19 Point of Dispensing vaccine clinic this week at the Transit Drive-In on Transit Road in the Town of Lockport.

About 300 first-dose Moderna vaccinations will be delivered Wednesday and over 1,900 more will be available on Thursday.

Appointments for Niagara County residents can be made on the Niagara County website. The link will operate until all appointments are filled.

For county residents without internet access, registration can be done by phone by calling 211 or 1-888-696-9211.

Second shots will also be administered. The Health Department had planned to deliver about 500 Johnson & Johnson shots as well, but that is now on hold due to federal and state instructions to pause use.

Mark Wozniak, WBFO's local All Things Considered host, has been at WBFO since mid-1978.
