Buffalo Common Councilmember Joel Feroleto has tested positive for COVID-19.

Feroleto was tested last Wednesday and found out his results on Friday.

The Delaware District representative attended last Tuesday’s Common Council meeting in person, but he said he kept his mask on and stayed socially distant from others.

Feroleto said he has lost his sensations of taste and smell, and had a sore throat and sweats, but did not have a fever.

His fiancée also had a positive diagnosis last week. Feroleto is now under quarantine.

Council President Darius Pridgen tested positive for the coronavirus in March and has since recovered.

Mark Wozniak, WBFO's local All Things Considered host, has been at WBFO since mid-1978.
