With confirmation of COVID-19 in Western New York, Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center has issued new guidelines for visitations to provide the safest environment possible for patients and caregivers.
Effective March 16 and until further notice:
- One visitor per patient will be allowed at any time at all Roswell Park locations. This includes hospital and outpatient centers in Buffalo, Amherst and Niagara Falls satellite centers, and network community practice locations in the Southtowns, Northtowns, Niagara Falls and Jamestown.
- Patients and visitors should not bring children under age 16 to Roswell Park appointments. Since this may unavoidable in some situations, anyone under the 16 will also be screened for signs of illness.
- The Roswell Park Hospitality Room and Gift Shop are closed.
All patients and visitors will enter Roswell Park through a single entry point at our main entrance, where a basic health screening will take place.
