Recovering from an illness can take toughness - ECMC says Jim Kelly toughness. in that spirit, the medical center dedicated its new “Kelly Tough Room” Tuesday. It is the same patient room where the former Buffalo Bills quarterback received his medical care while suffering from cancer in 2013 to 2014.
However, it now features a variety of Jim Kelly sports memorabilia, including a framed autographed Buffalo Bills jersey that welcomes patients and visitors into the room. It is also painted with the same red, white and blue colors that are included in the official Kelly Tough logo and an inspirational quote from Number 12 on the wall.
In dedicating the new patient room, Kelly thanked ECMC staff for getting him through his cancer and hoped he could inspire others going through an illness.
