Golisano provides $3.5 million for Niagara Falls health center

The Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center has announced the largest gift in its history. Businessman and philanthropist Tom Golisano, through his foundation, is donating $3.5 million toward construction of a new center for community health.

The Golisano Center for Community Health will provide comprehensive integrated health care to adults with special needs and their families. Services and programs will include primary care, mental health care, Health Home care management, social services and more.

“We are so very grateful to Mr. Golisano and the Golisano Foundation for their generous contribution and their commitment to our community here in Western New York,” said Medical Center President and CEO Joseph A. Ruffolo. “They can be confident that their investment will improve the quality of life for thousands of people who will walk through the doors of the Golisano Center for Community Health for many years to come.”

Construction is expected to begin next March and be completed by the end of 2015.
