The U.S. Department of Agriculture will be conducting survey work in Niagara County this year to assess the presence of the European Cherry Fruit Fly.
These surveys will be taking place from May to September between the hours of 7 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
The Niagara County Sheriff warns that USDA employees will wear "USDA" shirts and orange vests with "USDA" on the back. They will be driving government vehicles and will carry government identification cards that will be presented if asked.
Anyone claiming to be a USDA employee without proper identification should be reported to authorities.
