Judge dismisses teachers' injunction request for Buffalo Public Schools reopening plan

State Supreme Court Justice Frank Sedita on Thursday denied the Buffalo Teachers Federation request for an injunction against the Buffalo Public Schools related to it reopenig plan.

Sedita also dismissed the BTF's petition to stop teachers from being in school buildings due to unsafe conditions.

At Thursday's hearing, the school district maintained that the few issues that teachers had during past weeks have been addressed.

In a statement, Buffalo Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Kriner Cash expressed his gratitude and pride in the district staff for upholding the priority of children and families first during the COVID-19 pandemic.
