The University at Buffalo has launched its biggest-ever fundraising campaign.
Boldly Buffalo: The Campaign for UB, which is also the largest in the history of the SUNY system, is seeking to raise $650 million. More than $450 million has already been secured through 61,000 donors, with more than 100 donors pledging gifts of $1 million or more.
UB says the gifts have already funded many improvements across the university, including 109 scholarships and fellowships and 13 endowed chair and professor positions.
University President Satish Tripathi, in a statement, says the campaign will "amplify UB’s mission of transforming ambitious, dedicated students into thoughtful leaders and change-makers who have an immeasurable impact on our region and the world."
