St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute has appointed a new principal. Brother Christopher Belleman, FSC, begins his new post immediately. Belleman had been serving as interim principal. He has been with St. Joe's since 2004 and also served as Vice Principal for Student Affairs as a Spanish teacher.
Prior to his work at the Kenmore Avenue school, Belleman served as principal at La Salle Institute in Troy, New York.
St. Joe's President Robert Scott says he is "delighted" with the appointment.
“He brings with him the dedication true to his vocation, a clear knowledge of our school and our commitment to academic excellence, and most significantly, a genuine concern for the young men who have been entrusted to our care,” Scott said, in a statement.
Belleman received his master’s degree in Spanish Education from the University at Albany in 1992 and a master’s in Educational Administration from Canisius College in 2011.
