Park School offers 'common sense' advice on Common Core

After receiving a big response from the public, the Park School of Buffalo will be holding a second Common Sense Approach to Middle School Roundtable Wednesday evening. The school is offering information on education as public schools work to adopt the Common Core Standards.

Head of Park School Chris Lauricella says the public conversation will offer specifics on Common Core and how Standards are accessed.

"It's a hard thing when you tell students 'hey some of these tests -- some of the questions on the Standardized test that you are about to take really don't count.' So that undermines a little bit of what's going on as well," said Lauricella.

The Park School is an independent, private school that follows its own standards to track and assess student learning.

The meeting begins at 4:30 p.m. and will focus on students in grades 4th through 8th.  Park School is located on Harlem Road in Snyder.
