A now former Buffalo Police officer pleaded guilty in State Supreme Court Tuesday to charges of assault, menacing and criminal trespass in connection with two off-duty domestic violence incidents last year.

Keenan Redmon, 36, also resigned from the Buffalo Police force Tuesday, before entering the pleas.

He admitted to forcibly grabbing the back of the neck of a female victim in a Hertel Avenue restaurant late in the evening of last July 22, then on August 26 he forced the same victim into a bathroom, brandishing an apparent pistol while threatening her while unlawfully inside the victim's Buffalo residence. Redmon was off duty at the time of each incident.

Sentencing has been scheduled for August 15 and Redmon faces up to a year in jail. An order of protection is in effect on behalf of the victim.
