The Erie County Sheriff’s Department is reporting the arrest of a Genesee County man for second degree aggravated harassment, in response to a social media death threat against Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz in January.
Thomas Netter, 49, of Oakfield was arraigned in Buffalo City Court and released on an appearance ticket.
The Erie County Sheriff’s Office said the threat was posted on Facebook, concerning COVID-19 mandates and threatening Poloncarz’ life.
