Two unidentified adolescents pleaded guilty Thursday to a variety of charges stemming from a shooting in Lockport that wounded five young people and killed another.
Niagara County District Attorney Brian Seaman said the guilty plea resulted from the shooting at a Halloween party Oct. 17 of last year. Cheyenne Farewell, 20, of Medina was killed by the shooting.
One defendant who opened fire through a door into a group of people pleaded guilty to second degree murder, two counts of first degree assault, two counts of second degree assault and single counts of criminal possession of a weapon and first degree reckless endangerment. That defendant faces up to 20 years to life in prison when sentenced on Sept. 30.
The other defendant, who did not fire a weapon but who pleaded guilty to aiding and abetting the crimes, faces up to 25 years in prison for first degree manslaughter.
