Niagara Falls stabbing victim dies

The victim in a stabbing attack Tuesday evening in Niagara Falls has died from his injuries.

Thomas James Anderson, 49, was stabbed near his home in the 600 block of 20th Street and was conscious and talking with first responders at the time. He was taken to Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo for treatment.

However, when police detectives went to the hospital Wednesday for a followup, Anderson was no longer a patient there. Anderson was pronounced dead at about 4:30 a.m. Thursday at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center's emergency room.

Following an autopsy, his death was ruled a homicide, due to the wounds sustained in the Tuesday stabbing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Niagara Falls Police investigators at 286-4553.
