Two PA men arrested after police chase from Niagara Falls to Buffalo

A police chase from Niagara Falls to Buffalo Monday ended with two Pennsylvania men being taken into custody. Niagara Falls Police initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle with Pennsylvania license plates on John B. Daly Boulevard in the Falls, but the vehicle took off. Falls Police took part in a chase.

It continued across Grand Island  and into the City of Buffalo. A U.S. Border Patrol helicopter and ground units from various police agencies took part in the pursuit, which ended without incident on Niagara Street in Buffalo.

Authorities said Richard Reiss, 31, and Dewayne Shields, 34, were turned over to Niagara Falls Police, and they are expected to be extradited to Pennsylvania, where felony warrants are pending for them.
