Buffalo man arraigned in beating death of girlfriend's toddler

A Buffalo man was virtually arraigned Tuesday in connection with the death of his girlfriend's infant son.

Nathaniel Baker, 24, was arraigned in State Supreme Court on an indictment charging him with second degree murder and first degree manslaughter in the death of Jordan Robinson, 2, early this year.

Baker is alleged to have beaten Robinson at a home on Theodore Street in Buffalo on Jan. 7. The boy was pronounced dead after being taken to Erie County Medical Center.

Baker is being held without bail and is due back in court for a motion argument on Aug. 13. If convicted, he faces a maximum of 25 years to life in prison.
