A Buffalo man has been sentenced to 70 years in prison on 14 felony domestic violence counts.
The Erie County District Attorney announced Kaiden Haynes, 28, was sentenced in State Supreme Court due to a jury conviction on March 20. Haynes was sentenced virtually Thursday afternoon.
Haynes was in a relationship with a female victim, and moved in with her and her 10-year-old son in March 2018. The DA said physical abuse began about two month later and Haynes was arrested in January 2019.
Prosecutors said he whipped, burned, cut, strangled and tortured the victim on multiple occasions, and also injured the child. An order of protection was issued on behalf of the victims into January 2097.
Haynes also pleaded guilty to throwing urine at an Erie County Holding Center deputy in April.
