Former seminarians charged with harassing woman outside Buffalo Diocese

The Erie County District Attorney's Office has charged two former seminarians with harassment for an alleged incident last fall outside Diocese of Buffalo offices. Matthew Bojanowki, 38, and Stephen Parisi, 46, were arraigned Monday, each on one count of second-degree harassment.

The DA's office says on September 3, 2019, the two men approached a woman attempting to leave the parking lot of diocese offices in downtown Buffalo. They are accused of yelling at her and standing in the path of her vehicle, preventing her from exiting the lot. They're also accused of harassing her on social media.

Both men have been released on their own recognizance. They will be back in court Jan. 17.

On Monday, District Attorney John Flynn's office announced it would not pursue criminal charges regarding allegations Bojanowki made last year when he said he received unwanted sexual advances by a priest, saying "the matter was investigated and no actions rose to the level of criminal activity."
