The Albion Central School District has released an open letter to the community describing an investigation into threatening messages and images it says were shared by a group of Middle School students.
Superintendent Michael Bonnewell said the threats were shared through the online game Discord and elsewhere, and then picked up on social media by others.
Bonnewell said the students have been removed from school for the safety of all, and they will remain out of class until the investigation is complete and corrective action is decided by the Orleans County Threat Assessment Team.
