1 woman dead, 2 children wounded in Town of Tonawanda shooting

Town of Tonawanda Police

A woman is dead and two children were wounded after an overnight triple shooting Tuesday in the Town of Tonawanda. Police were called to the scene of the shooting at 111 Ebling Ave., near Colvin Boulevard and Eggert Road in the town, at around 2 a.m. One of the children notified police of the shootings.

The two are children of the deceased woman and were listed in stable condition Tuesday afternoon.

The suspect or suspects in the shooting apparently fled the area. The neighborhood was closed down, as police conducted a search.

Police said the woman was targeted by the shooter; it was not a random attack. They did not know if the homeowner has any relationship with the victim, although the woman and the children were living in the house.

The investigation is continuing.
